Details
Correct name | Unspecified. |
Name status | Not established, an invalidly published name used to sell multiple different cultivars. Published by Zhāng (2014, p. 101), and listed online by Eden Collection (2022). The name is in Latin form, so cannot be established (Brickell et al., 2016, Art. 21.11). The plant shown by Zhāng (2014, p. 101) is Tradescantia spathacea ‘Sitara’. The page from Eden Collection (2022) shows Tradescantia zebrina (Superba Group) ‘Purple Highway’. Based on this ambiguity, the name ‘Compacta’ cannot be linked to a single specific plant. |
