Correct name

Tradescantia sillamontana ‘Gold Stripes’.

Name status

Not established, an invalid unpublished name used to sell the cultivar Tradescantia sillamontana ‘Gold Stripes’. Described online by Glasshouse Works (2021). No hardcopy publication has been found, and the name is in Latin, so it cannot be established (Brickell et al., 2016, Art. 27.1). The newly-registered name ‘Gold Stripes’ is now accepted for this cultivar. Not to be confused with: Tradescantia spathacea ‘Striata’, an established synonym for another cultivar. Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Striata’, an established synonym for another cultivar.
