‘Mme Lequesne’

Correct nameTradescantia zebrina ‘Quadricolor’.
Name statusEstablished synonym, another published name for the cultivar Tradescantia zebrina ‘Quadricolor’.

Established with a description by James Veitch & Sons (1882, p. 45). Because it was published before 1959, the name can be established with no description (Brickell et al., 2016, Art. 27.1).

It was originally misspelled ‘Madame Leguense’, but this is corrected to match the earlier name it is derived from, ‘Multicolor Mme Lequesne’ (Brickell et al., 2016, Art. 35.2).

The more widely-used name ‘Quadricolor’ is now accepted for this cultivar.
