| Name status | Accepted, the valid name for a unique cultivar. Established by Booth (1840, p 113). Because it was published before 1959, the Latin name with no description can be accepted (Brickell et al., 2016, Arts. 21.11, 27.1). It was originally spelled ‘Violaceo Semipleno’ (Booth, 1840, p. 113), but this is corrected to match the grammatical gender of the genus (Brickell et al., 2016, Art. 21.8). |
