Details
Correct name | Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Viridis’. |
Name status | Established synonym, another published name for the cultivar Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Virids’. Established with a description by Rosemont Gardens (1914, p. 36). Because it was published before 1959, the Latin name can be established (Brickell et al., 2016, Art. 21.11). Based on the description, the name is assumed to refer to the same cultivar as Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Viridis’. Neither name is widely in use today, so the earlier ‘Viridis’ is now accepted for this cultivar. |
