‘Magic Birdtail’

Correct nameTradescantia hirta ‘Swifttale’.
Name statusNot established, an invalidly published name used to sell the cultivar Tradescantia hirta ‘Swifttale’.

Published with a description by Shades of Green (2014, p. 5). The name is a trademark in the USA, so it cannot be established as a cultivar name (Brickell et al., 2016, Principle 6).

The name was treated as equivalent to Tradescantia ‘Swallowtail’ by Royal Horticultural Society (2014, p. 776), which is in turn now accepted as a trade name for ‘Swifttale’.
