OriginsIntroduced by Jan Spruyt – Van der Jeugd nursery in Belgium around 2017 (Hatch, 2021).
ClassificationThe plant was originally published as Tradescantia ohiensis. Because it originated at a nursery in Belgium, it may instead be a hybrid of the Andersoniana Group, but the original identification is currently accepted with no way to confirm.
