Details
Full name | Tradescantia ‘Albo Variegata’. |
Name status | Not established, an invalidly published way which most likely refers to either Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Albostriata’ or Tradescantia ‘Albovittata’. Published with a description and drawing by Krölling (1886, p. 419). The publication also used the name ‘Albo Lineata’ for the same cultivar, and didn’t give clear priority to either name, so neither is established (Brickell et al., 2016, Art. 27.8). Based on the drawing and description, the name most likely refers to either Tradescantia ‘Albovittata’ or Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Albostriata’. But there is not enough information to definitively link it to any plant known today, so the name is established and treated as lost or an unknown synonym. |
