| Foliage | Shoots in spring are light green with weak red or purple stripes on the outside of the leaves. Leaves are 25-32cm long, very slightly hairy. |
| Flowers | 5cm across. Petals are white, anthers are yellow, stamen filaments are sometimes tinted blue. |
