Correct name

Tradescantia (Andersoniana Group) ‘Plena’.

Name status

Established synonym, another published name for the cultivar Tradescantia (Andersoniana Group) ‘Plena’. Established with a description by Bailey (1917, p. 3364). It refers to the same plant as Tradescantia (Andersoniana Group) ‘Plena’ (MacKeeever, 1960). The more widely-used and less ambiguous ‘Plena’ is now the accepted name for this cultivar. Not to be confused with: Tradescantia (Andersoniana Group) ‘Major’ [1839], the accepted name for another cultivar. Tradescantia (Andersoniana Group) ‘Major’ [1889], a synonym for another cultivar.
