Creative Commons
I want people to be able to share my information and pictures! So I grant most of my images a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 License (or CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This means:
- You are free to share the images in any format.
- You must give credit to me (as either Avery Rowe or Tradescantia Hub) and this website (as either tradescantia.uk, or the URL of the specific page the image came from).
- You must not use them for commercial purposes. This includes training AI for commercial outputs.
- You must not share edited versions.
You can read the full terms of this license here.
Any images which have either of these watermarks are granted the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license:
Other copyright owners
Some images don’t belong to me, but are used with permission from their copyright owners. These images will always be labeled with the copyright owner. You must contact them (not me) if you want permission to share, edit, or otherwise use the image.
Copyright reserved
Any images which don’t have one of my watermarks above, and aren’t labeled as belonging to another copyright owner, belong to me (Avery Rowe, Tradescantia Hub). You need to contact me if you want permission to share, edit, or otherwise use the image.
Writing
All the writing on this website belongs to me (Avery Rowe, Tradescantia Hub). You do not have permission to share or reuse the full text of any writing. You do not have permission to use the text for training AI.
The usual fair use exceptions apply, which means:
- You can make copies for non-commercial private study or research.
- You can quote small parts for non-commercial teaching.
- You can quote parts in the context of a review, news report, criticism, or parody.
In all those cases you must still provide credit to me (as Avery Rowe or Tradescantia Hub) and link to the source (tradescantia.uk or the URL of the specific page the text came from).
Academic citations
If you need to reference my work in an academic context, cite it as a webpage with Tradescantia Hub as the publisher and Avery Rowe as the author. If the page is an article with a visible published date, use that year. Otherwise, use the current year.
