Cultivar groupTradescantia Continental Group.
Growth habitUpright to sprawling, very densely branched.
FoliageStems are 2.5-4mm thick, with internodes 0.5-2.5cm long, moderate olive green (146A). Leaves are spirally or sometimes alternately arranged along the stem.

Leaves are pointed ovals, 5-8cm long and 2.5-3.5cm wide, without a stalk (petiole). The upper surfaces are moderate olive green (147A) to greyish olive green (NN137C) with occasional streaks of moderate yellow green (N148C), with marginal variegation from very light purple (76B) to light purplish grey (N187D). The undersides are greyish purple (N187B) under dark areas, and deep reddish purple (77A) under light areas. Leaf sheaths are light purplish grey (N187D).

The upper and lower surfaces are hairless. The leaf margins are hairless or lined with tiny hairs (ciliate or ciliolate), and the tops of the sheaths have a cluster of longer hairs.
Flowers8-12mm across. Petals, stamens, and pistil are white, anthers are yellow.
