Description

Cultivar groupTradescantia Continental Group.
Growth habitSprawling to upright, very densely branched.
FoliageStems are 3-4mm thick, with internodes 0.5-2.5cm long, moderate yellow green (146D) to strong yellow green (144A). Leaves are spirally or alternately arranged along the stem.

Leaves are ovals, 3.5-7cm long and 1.5-2.5cm wide, asymmetrical with a curve to one side, sometimes with a short stalk (petiole). The upper surfaces are greyish olive green (NN137B), with marginal variegation usually light purple (76A) to purplish grey (N187C), occasionally to bluish white (N155A). The undersides are moderate yellowish green (N138B) to dark purplish grey (N187A) under dark areas, and bluish white (N155A) to strong purple (N80A) under light areas. Leaf sheaths are greyish yellow green (194B) with slightly darker veins.

The upper and lower leaf surfaces are scattered with a variable amount of bristly hairs. The leaf margins are lined with tiny hairs (ciliate or ciliolate), and the tops of the sheaths have a cluster of longer hairs.
Flowers10-14mm across. Petals, stamens, and pistil are white, anthers are yellow.
