‘Albo Vittata’

Correct nameTradescantia ‘Albovittata’.
Name statusNot established, an invalidly published name which most likely refers to Tradescantia ‘Albovittata’ or Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Albostriata’.

Published with a description and drawing by Pynaert (1885, p. 205). The same publication used the spelling ‘Albo-vittata’, and did not give clear priority to either name, so neither is established (Brickell et al., Art. 27.8).

Based on the drawing and description, the name most likely refers to either Tradescantia ‘Albovittata’ or Tradescantia fluminensis ‘Albostriata’. But there is not enough information to definitively link it to any plant known today, so the name is established and treated as lost or an unknown synonym.
