Correct name

Tradescantia virginiana ‘Nina’.

Name status

Established synonym, another published name for the cultivar Tradescantia virginiana ‘Nina’. Published by Bailey & Bailey (1941, p. 736). Because it was published before 1959, the Latin name can be established (Brickell et al., 2016, Art. 21.11). The earlier name ‘Nina’ is now accepted for this cultivar. Not to be confused with: Tradescantia spathacea ‘Nana’, an invalid unpublished name used for a different cultivar.
